This week has been my first week back in OZ after 2 years abroad.  I had a lot more luxury time on the ship as travel was cut down alot so I’m really using new time management skills now I am back on land.

Time management is such an important technique in your life and business that you can learn to use effectively.

You know those moments when you have a last minute casting or audition; you need to rearrange a lot of things (work, personal etc. life) to make time for that preparation.

It’s been said that people have a time problem that there aren’t enough hours in the day, but I beg to think of it as a priority problem.

The techniques I use in my business are simple and easy to follow and ones I have adapted from the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey.

I go through each of the steps in today’s video + you can also read the steps below.

STEP 1:

Write down all the different roles you play in any given week.

If you’re a mum, right down that.  If you’re an entrepreneur write down all the smaller rolls attached to that ie. Product development, research and meetings.

STEP 2:

Work out your goals for the month, week and day via these roles.  Maybe you have 2 or 3 goals per role to fulfill.

STEP 3:

Number these goals and place them on your weekly calendar ahead of time on a Sunday when you’re not busy and make sure you pick one priority for each day of the week.

Another amazing book that looks about the use of effective time management is “The 4 Hour Work Week” By Tim Ferris and I highly recommend the read if you want to be blown away by the read!

Let me know about your time management struggles below + have an excellent week!
